| What do you do for a living? |
I am a speech-language pathologist; I work full-time at a K-8 charter school, part-time at an autism clinic, and contingent at a skilled nursing facility. Although I already have a BA and two MAs, I am starting my doctorate on January. |
| Tell us about your family, and who you live with… |
My family (parents, 1 older brother, 2 younger sisters) live in Macomb County. I live with Ameer and Adeeb, two codependent and emotionally-demanding cats. |
| Whats your biggest pet peeve? |
Errors in grammar or word usage. Seeing “12 items or less” at the grocery store is like nails on a chalkboard to me. |
| What was your favorite sitcom growing up? |
“227,” obviously. I feel like I lived there. |
| What were your childhood pets? |
I was obsessed with exotic pets until adulthood. I have had a variety of lizards, over a dozen hedgehogs, a short-tailed opossum, sugar gliders, chinchillas, snakes, and a coatimundi. |
| What Else? |
I apparently can’t get enough of school. I have a BA in English and Linguistics, an MA in Linguistics, an MA in Speech-Language Pathology, and I am now starting my clinical doctorate in SLP. I read juvenile fiction (e.g Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings) on a daily basis and am an avid fan of far more reality shows than is reasonable or prudent. Really, continued education is just another attempt to delay payment on student loans. |
